momentum Events
Leeds, West Yorkshire Playhouse:
4 September, 2008
On 4 September Northern Ballet
Theatre held a reception at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds, to both
celebrate and engage support for momentum. Over 100
guests enjoyed refreshments and special demonstrations from NBT's talented
classical training students.
Lord Mayor Cllr Frank Robinson attended the event where the new digital animation
of the building was unveiled for the first time. Artistic Director
David Nixon
spoke of what an enormous difference the building will make to the company's
artistic output and to the aspirations of our talented young dance students.
NBT Board member and partner at Eversheds Denise Jagger urged the Leeds community to
support the project. Guests were then invited to watch A Tale of Two Cities,
NBT's original piece by acclaimed guest choreographer Cathy Marston.
